Paul T. Finger, M.D. FACS. is caring for eye tumor patients at his office in New York City. He also has a research interest in the use of radiation to treat "wet" macular degeneration. Dr. Finger established this web site to help patients understand macular degeneration and to find the resources they need.
A Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Finger graduated from Tulane University and Medical School. Following a medical internship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York City, he completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Finger is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Finger sees patients from all over the world and cares for clinic patients at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Bellevue Hospital.
Dr. Finger has introduced new methods of diagnosis and treatment of eye tumors and has written hundreds of publications for medical journals, books and meetings. He lectures frequently at local, national and international meetings.
